MS Subbulakshmi Biopic Casting Takes A New Turn

A biopic on Bharat Ratna and legendary Carnatic singer MS Subbulakshmi is currently in the works.

Earlier Sai Pallavi was to play the role but some of the reports suggest that Rukmini Vasanth might replace her. However the team have not made any official announcement yet.

It was earlier reported that Pallavi had started preparing for the role by watching the videos of Subbulakshmi to understand her life and journey.

Director Gowtam Tinnanuri is also said to be doing detailed research and the shooting may begin later this year.

Sai Pallavi is busy with projects like Ramayana and possibly Kalki 2898 AD 2, while Rukmini Vasanth also has big films like Toxic and NTR-Neel’s project.
